How much does it cost to charter a private jet?
It depends on aircraft class, distance, and dates. As a guide, hourly rates run roughly $2,600–3,800/hr for light jets, $3,600–5,200 for midsize, $5,200–7,600 for super-midsize, and $8,200–14,500 for heavy or ultra-long-range jets. A New York–Miami leg on a midsize jet typically starts around $15,300; a transatlantic heavy-jet trip such as New York–London starts around $78,300. Do I have to become a member or buy a jet card?
No. This is on-demand charter — you pay for the trip you take, with no membership, no card deposit, and no signup wall to see pricing. Jet cards and memberships make sense above roughly 25 flight hours a year; below that, on-demand charter is usually the better value, and we'll tell you honestly which fits.
How fast will someone contact me?
A charter advisor responds within 15 minutes during operating hours, and around the clock for time-sensitive trips. Charter availability changes by the minute, so speed is part of the service.
Are the operators safety-vetted?
Yes. We only refer operators holding active FAA Part 135 certificates and, wherever possible, independent safety ratings from ARGUS or Wyvern. We confirm an operator's credentials and aircraft before recommending them for your trip.
What is an empty-leg flight?
When an aircraft has to reposition without passengers — flying home after a one-way charter, for example — that leg can be sold at a steep discount. Empty legs are the most affordable way to fly private, but supply is unpredictable. Join the alert list and we'll notify you when one matches your route.
